Description and Services
Description (Service) Provides child protection services within our community seven days a week, twenty four hours a day, to the children and families of Hastings, Northumberland and Prince Edward Counties. Operating under the mandate of the Child and Family Services Act, HSCA is a provincially funded non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors appointed from the local community. Services include investigations of allegations of child abuse and neglect, support to families and out of home placement in approved adoptive, foster homes or group care programs. Programs and services are developed in response to the needs of the community and the child welfare mandate. See also The Children's Foundation.

Areas Served Quinte West ; Trenton office serves Quinte West. HSCA also has offices in Belleville, Picton, Bancroft and Cobourg as the Society serves the counties of Hastings, Northumberland and Prince Edward.

Open to children and youth aged birth-16 and their families for child protection services * children in care may access services through to age 21 years
