Description (Service) Provides education, information and support to persons living with memory loss and their care partners * provides public awareness and education sessions * A First Link Care navigator meets clients during initial visit to connect with education and support offered through the Alzheimer Society as well as services offered through community partners/external sources *Education & Support coordinators provide one on one and group support, facilitate support groups, first link learning series, and other education sessions * is a source for ID kit and Finding your Way education which helps people living with dementia, their families, caregivers and communities to recognize the risk of going missing, be prepared for incidents of going missing, and ensure that people with dementia can live safely in the community *administers project lifesaver for those at risk of wandering *provides dementia friendly communities training to ensure people in the community/businesses/service providers are aware of and understand dementia, and people living with dementia are included and have choice and control over their day-to-day lives and level of engagement within the community *Eligibility Notes: Individuals with Alzheimer disease or other related dementias and their caregivers. No formal diagnosis required, self referrals welcome
Hours Office at 90 King St (corner of King and Paul) is open Mon - Thur 8:30 am- 4:30 pm
Meetings Caregiver support groups meet in Picton and Wellington monthly. Visit the website or call the office for current dates, times and locations. 
Education series and public education sessions are scheduled throughout the year.
