Description (Service) | COVID-19 (30 Mar 2020) ROSSS offices are closed until further notice. Meal on Wheels continues. Enabling seniors and adults with disabilities to remain independent and safe in their own homes * other site in Manotick Meals on Wheels (fresh cold and frozen entrees) * Diners Programs * transportation to medical appointments * weekly grocery bus * urban shopping mall bus * assistance with income tax returns * friendly visiting * weekday daily telephone calls (telephone assurance program TAP) * foot care clinics * respite * caregiver support groups * equipment loans (wheelchairs, walkers, sick room equipment) * social recreational activities (fitness/crafts/information sessions, monthly day trips) * Adult Day Program * Information and referral Champlain Going Home Program: Ottawa site: referred patients at time of discharge after hospital stay or release from the Emergency Room * provides assistance for up to 10 days after referral for the following services: Meals on Wheels, transportation home and to follow up appointments, homemaking * support services for older adults Snow Go Assist program: Provides a matching service for seniors and people with disabilities looking to hire an individual or contractor to clear snow from private driveways and walkways * Eligible low-income seniors and people with disabilities may also apply to receive financial assistance to pay for a portion of their snow removal costs through this program Summer: day trips to local attractions * events * costs vary |
