Description (Service) | In cooperation with local utility companies, offers free programs to qualified low-income customers guaranteed to reduce a utility bill by decreasing natural gas or electricity usage Program designed to make a customer’s home more energy efficient and reduce energy bills * providing insulation and air sealing at no cost, and with voluntary participation Lowers energy bills by improving the efficiency of the home, lowering energy use by up to 30% * increases comfort by retaining a comfortable temperature while reducing monthly energy costs The program is offered throughout the Enbridge Gas Distribution delivery area |

Eligibility | Eligible individuals must: * live in Enbridge Gas Distribution’s franchise area * own or rent from a private landlord a detached, semi-detached house, or row house built before the year 1975 * have a valid Enbridge Gas account number and pay his/her own natural gas bill * have a home that is heated by natural gas * submit an application before December 31, 2019 Customer’s household income (before tax income of all household members 18 years or older) must not be more than the following amounts: * One person $32,843 * Two people $40,886 * Three people $50,266 * Four people $61,028 * Five people $69,217 * Six people $78,065 * Seven or more people $86,914 Participate in one of the following government assistance programs: Ontario Works, Guaranteed Income Supplement, Ontario Disability Support Program, Allowance for Seniors, Allowance for Survivors, National Child Benefit Supplement, Electric Utility HAP Program, Healthy Smiles Ontario Child Dental Program or Ontario Electrical Support Program Customers must submit proof of eligibility with their application * proof of eligibility includes a copy of their most recent income tax assessment or a copy of their benefit statement, and a valid Enbridge Gas account number |
