Description (Service) City-operated recycling program * weekly recyclable material pick-ups * bi-weekly garbage pick up service * new calendars available on website 
 
Take it Back! /Waste Explorer: A convenient way for residents to dispose of certain household or special waste products by giving them away to participating local businesses * items such as: used motor oil * batteries * expired medication * tires * computers * garden supplies. Online word search tool allows residents to enter an item and it will inform the resident on the proper disposal method. 
 
Hazardous Waste * several one-day Household Hazardous Waste Depots for City of Ottawa residents only 
 
Green Bin * organic materials are collected weekly
