| Description (Service) | Offers baseball and softball programs Little League Baseball * inaugurated in 1939 * for players 9-12 years old Intermediate (50/70) Baseball * inaugurated in 2013 * for players 11-13 years old Junior League Baseball * inaugurated in 1981 * for players 13-14 year old Senior League Baseball * inaugurated in 1961 * for players 14-16 years old Little League Softball * inaugurated in 1974 * for girls 9-12 years old Junior League Softball * inaugurated in 1999 * for girls 12-14 years old Senior League Softball * inaugurated in 1974 * for girls 13-16 years old Tee Ball: Created to give 4 to 7 year old children and their parents an introductory experience to baseball and softball by creating a safe, caring, fun activity as they learn the basic skills of the game. There are two Districts that cover the City of Ottawa and surrounding area: District 2 - Ottawa West Area District Administrator: Jim Dean http://d2llontario.ca Ontario District 2 consists of three leagues: East Nepean; Kanata; and Ottawa West. District 6 - Ottawa East Area District Administrator: Bill Magnus http://www.d6llontario.ca Ontario District 6 consists of five leagues: Carleton-Russell; Glebe Central; Orleans; Prescott-Russell; and South Ottawa. Little League Challenger Division: A program for developmentally and physically disabled youth to enjoy the full benefits of Little League participation in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. Orleans Little League in District 6 and East Nepean in District 2 have a Challenger Division. |
