Description (Service) | Strives to provide the appropriate level of response in collaboration with other crisis service providers. A web alert and follow-up program is also offered for professionals in the community. * Offers effective interventions at the time of the crisis in order to reduce or divert unnecessary access to hospital emergency rooms * police contact * residential placement * Available to respond to a crisis 24/7 and can be accessed when other services are unavailable at the time to respond to those in need * A residential crisis unit can be accessed to provide a short period of stabilization for youth ages 12 to 15 years old, up to 5 days * Online Crisis Chat, chat.ysb.ca * Short-term follow-up services and assessment for families or youth who are not presently connected with services or resources |
