Description (Service) | COVID-19 (27 Mar 2020): Due to COVID19, appointments with outreach services, transitional housing support and child witness program will be conducted over the phone until further notice. Shelter services are available and the crisis line remains operational. 10 bed emergency shelter for women and children fleeing violence * supportive counselling, safety-planning, advocacy * emergency shelter available * 24-hour crisis line, on-site counselling for women who don't live at shelter * outreach follow-up program, transitional support and housing program and child witness program * services provided by children's advocates are available for children who have been exposed to violence * volunteer opportunities * community presentations * public education on issues of violence against women, children exposed to violence * support groups for women and children * children's school run groups and individual counselling |
