| Description | 8 Wing Pipes & Drums are a volunteer military Pipe Band. Members include military members from 8 Wing Trenton and nearby military facilities, and civilian volunteers of all ages from the surrounding community. The band performs at military functions on the base, community and charity functions, and major military Tattoos. | |||
| Supplementary Description | The Pipe Major and Drum Instructors are professional musicians in the Canadian Forces, and their full-time job is to administer and instruct the band. Music lessons are available, free of charge. | |||
| Waiting List | No waiting list to join; waiting list to book band is totally dependant on engagement schedule. | |||
| Eligibility | Ages: 8 year(s) - 80 year(s) Minimum age is for beginner students. Eligibility for membership is based on musical ability, and/or willingness and ability to learn an instrument. | |||
| Application | We welcome potential members or clients at practices, but also you may book an appointment to see us at another time, or speak via phone or email. | |||
| Fees | None ; Membership is free. A performance by the band usually carries a minimal cost, calculated on a case-by-case basis. Performance at charity events are often free of charge, with approval by the Commander of 8 Wing. | |||

| Areas Served | In general, we serve anywhere in the world, as we are requested for international Military Tattoos regularly. 95% of our engagements are located in South-Eastern Ontario. | |||
| Boundaries | Our ability to perform anywhere is dictated by the availability of our volunteer members. | |||
