HoursGroups: Once per week 4:30 pm-6:30 pm for 12 weeks, offered twice a year, September-December and March-June * Individual intervention: call for schedule
DatesIndividual intervention: Year-round
DescriptionCounselling program for families focusing on preschool children and violence. The program is staffed by trained counsellors and educators, the team provides a holistic approach with three basic components. 
 
* A concurrent parents support group is held during the group sessions. As well, individual counselling is offered upon referral from other agencies. 
 
* Individual intervention for children is offered. Children are encouraged to express themselves through play and art activities. Individual counselling aims to facilitate the coping and healing process. Parents are provided with feedback regarding the progress of their child. 
 
* Play/Art Therapy groups for children witnesses of abuse and violence. Experienced facilitators provide opportunities for children to express their feelings and learn coping and safety skills. While the children are in groups, the parents/caregivers will have an opportunity to attend a parents group offered by a parent educator on the same site.
