| Description | Child care programs and services * Licensed Home Child Care: the program operates in West-end Ottawa for children 6 weeks to 12 years from all income levels. This is the core service. * Children's Village at Stoneway: a licensed kindergarten and school age child care program operating in Adrienne Clarkson School * Children's Village at Navan: a licensed kindergarten and school age child care program operating in Heritage School * Children's Village at Bridlewood: a licensed kindergarten and school age child care program in Bridlewood Community Elementary School * Children's Village at Klondike: a licensed kindergarten and school age program in South March Public School * "Transitions" : an innovative child driven life skills summer program for 8-12 year old children operating throughout Ottawa * Summer camp programs: overnight programs located in the Gatineau Hills for children 7-12 years, operating Monday-Friday for 3 weeks plus one weekend overnight session * Resource Centre: offers morning play groups for children, parents and providers, special events and resource kits for providers * Parents Exploring Day Care Options (PEDCO): monthly information sessions * Parents As Teachers - Ottawa (PAT): a home visiting partnership program that provides information, support and encouragement to parents by a trained PAT educator * Supported School Readiness: a partnership program between the Home Child Care Network of Ottawa and the Ottawa Catholic School Board, providing school readiness support for children entering Kindergarten in selected schools | |||
