DescriptionShort-term structured program for males (at the time of offense), who have been detained by a court order or ordered to serve a disposition of open custody. 
 
A plan of care is developed for each client, and includes: regular schooling within the unit * life skills training * assessment of skills and strengths * counselling * case conferences to determine planning for discharge. Clients also participate in a social skills and street proofing program which includes sessions on addictions * sexuality * self-esteem * anger management * job search * sexually transmitted diseases and goal setting. 
 
Semi-secure residence. It has two purposes: 
 
* Open Custody Facility, for youth ordered to serve a disposition under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. 
* Place of detention, for youth temporarily detained by the court.

Males age 12 to 18 years old (at the time of offense)
ApplicationClients are referred to the unit by the courts, probation officers, the police or other observation and detention units.
