Professional services include: medical * psychiatric * psychological * social work * correctional counselling * volunteer programs available to the residents 
 
Education: 
* Ottawa-Carleton District School board classes for literacy and instruction up to Ontario Academic Credit - Grade 12 
* The "Conseil des écoles publiques d'Ottawa-Carleton" provides a French Language education program.
EligibilityMale and female adult offenders on remand and those awaiting transfer to federal, as well as provincial correctional institutions. Short-term offenders also serve their sentences at this detention centre.
