HoursOffice hours Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm * Program hours Mon-Fri 9 am-3 pm
DescriptionEducation program that assists people who wish to enter or re-enter the labour force * helps in to clarifying their career objectives, understanding current labour market trends and updating computer, communication and math skills * 12-week program * runs 25 hours a week 
 
Program is divided into four parts: success strategies * team work skills and career planning * work experience and occupation research * introduction to computers * review of workplace communication and math skills. Program includes a two-week job observation. 
 
Components: 
* Success strategies 
* Academic upgrading (including Communication and Math) 
* Work experience 
* Career counselling, including interest and aptitude inventories 
* Assertiveness training 
* Job search skills 
* Computer skills 
* Career research interviews 
 
Upon completion, students are directed to further training, jobs, subsidized on-the-job training or skill training.

EligibilityAges: 19 year(s) and up 
 
Candidates who are 19 years of age or older and who are having difficulty getting or keeping a job * must be able to read and write * attendance at an information session is required before registration.
