Provides assessments of driving ability and recommends the type of adaptive equipment needed for cars or vans. Provides recommendations to clients who do not drive but require a vehicle with modifications to travel as a passenger.

Eligibility
Ages: 16 year(s) and up
Clients over 16 years of age whose physical and / or cognitive abilities are such that they may interfere with the safe operation of a vehicle.
Application
Referrals are made by a doctor in the community to the Outpatient Department at the Rehabilitation Centre; the patient must then be seen by a doctor who will refer for driving evaluation.
Fees
Service - ; Minimum $500 - for a car or van assessmentminimum $180/hr - for passenger vehicle assessment ; Costs are covered at times by an insurance company, if the handicap is as a result of a car accident or by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, if as a result of an accident at work.
