| Description | The Salvation Army is the recipient of the donated toys from the Majic 100 / CTV Toy Mountain. The Salvation Army operates the Toy Depot and manages the distribution of the toys to qualified families. Free toys for children 12 and under are distributed to eligible families from the end of November until Christmas. | |||
| Eligibility | Children 12 years and under of families receiving social assistance, low income families or recent immigrants | |||
| Application | Applications are processed through the Christmas Exchange Program. Parents must register at the Toy Centre first on predetermined dates. They must bring one of the following: -Ontario Works or ODSP recipients: drug card, children's birth certificates and income statement -Recent immigrants (up to one year): immigration/refugee papers and proof of residence (lease, driver's license) and identification for children showing birth dates -Low income families: I.D. for parents and children showing birth dates, statement of income and general list of expenses Parents will be given a time and date to return to pick up the toys. | |||
