| Description | One of the national capital’s main attractions. The place to enjoy fun and interactive encounters. Magnificent, world-class galleries, housed in a beautifully renovated, century-old, Gothic-style “castle” – showcase the diversity of Canada’s natural environments. Marvel at the sight of a complete Blue Whale skeleton, beautiful aquariums and many specimens in the RBC Blue Water Gallery. The new Vale Earth Gallery features a dazzling collection of more than 1,000 minerals and rocks plus many interactives. Wander past dinosaurs and other ancient reptiles in the Talisman Energy Fossil Gallery. See wildlife up close in the Mammal Gallery. Enjoy countless birds in the Bird Gallery. Peer at insects, slugs and other creepy crawlies in Animalium. Have fun with hands-on activities in the Discovery Zone.
