DescriptionA nationwide program designed to help find the person who is lost and assist in a safe return home * people with dementia may lose the ability to recognize familiar places, to communicate or to remember their own name and address; they may also leave home, become confused and get lost * members receive an engraved MedicAlert identification, which allows police and emergency responders to quickly identify the person who has wandered and bring the family back together 
 
Members have a complete medical record linked to a 24-hour emergency hotline that can be accessed by first responders in less than 5 seconds.
