| Description | The Ontario government created Ontario Early Years Centres to be a place where parents and caregivers can get answers to questions, information about programs and services that are available for young children, and an opportunity to talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community. * Parents and children can visit the Carleton Ontario Early Years Centre for a range of free services including: early learning programs for parents and their children * parenting programs that support parents and caregivers of young children in all aspects of early child development * information and referral for new parents about pregnancy and parenting and other related topics * parent education * school-readiness focus * The Carleton Centre also brings together in one location information about children's services and programs in the community. Answers questions about children's development and services for children aged 0-6 in Carleton. * An Ontario Early Years Centre in Kanata with one satellite, Katimavik Preschool Resource Centre (operated by Carleton Roman Catholic Child Care Corporation), and outreach locations in Carp and Bridlewood. Services include community drop-ins for parents, caregivers and their children, ages 0-6 years. Weekly drop-ins, including: Francophone drop-ins * Story time * Baby and Me Program * registered programming as well as Monday evening programming. Also provides a wide array of parent education opportunities. Call for details and drop-in hours. | |||
