DescriptionAboriginal drop-in centre for First Nations, Inuit and Métis people who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. 
 
The Centre has partnerships with: Front Line Workers * Outreach Workers * Housing Specialists * Visiting Nurses * Elders * Trainers * Attendants 
 
Shawenjeagamik will provide a secure and culturally appropriate place where people can use the following services: 
 
* Life skills: financial management * hygiene * self-confidence * time management * nutrition * teamwork * cultural teachings 
* Referral Services to: health centres * food banks * housing * addiction centres * employment services 
* Crisis Intervention: suicide prevention * counselling services 
* Laundry and shower facilities: available on a scheduled basis 
* Meals: Three hot meals per day are provided on a scheduled basis
EligibilityAges: 16 year(s) and up 
 
First Nations, Inuit and Métis people 16 years of age and older who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
