Description	Literacy, numeracy and essential skills services that help individuals achieve goals related to further education, training, employment and to increase level of independence.    Literacy and Basic Skills program: assistance to obtain employment * workshops in writing * reading * French * arithmetic * introduction to computers * job preparation * self-management * home management    Family literacy program: parenting skills workshops * educational packages and workshops on helping children in school
Eligibility	Ages: 19 year(s) and up    Adults 19 years old and over who are out of school * individuals receiving assistance through Ontario Works  Family Literacy Program: adults and their children who are Ottawa residents
