DescriptionAn 88-acre historic site located on the scenic shore of the Ottawa River. The home of Hamnett Pinhey (Horaceville), built in four stages between 1820 and 1848, now offers exhibitions, artifacts, period room recreations and children's activities. 
 
Activities and special events: Music and heritage craft activities * demonstrations ranging from blacksmithing, quilting, pottery, bread baking and other pioneer craftsmanship * musical performances, dance demonstrations and interactive musical workshops * reenactments * live entertainment 
 
The site offers: Small outdoor stage * public washrooms * picnic area with picnic tables and barbecues (bring your own charcoal) * dock for mooring of light, non-motorized craft * heritage attractions. 
 
Facilities: Site bookings for weddings, concerts, company picnics, family reunions or other events are available by calling 613-247-4830 ext 221.
