| Eligibility | Canadian citizen or landed immigrant * present housing does not meet the family's needs, may be in poor shape, too costly, unhealthy, unsafe, too small, etc. * working with a steady income, but unable to afford or obtain a conventional mortgage and the total family income before taxes is more than approximately $26,000 but less than the low-income limits as required by Revenue Canada per family size. | |||
| Application | Call the Habitat for Humanity NCR office to get your name on the list for the next Information Session. Application forms are distributed at the Housing Information Sessions only. A Family Selection Committee chooses potential homeowners based on their need. | |||
| Fees | Ability to repay an interest-free mortgage * work 500 hours (sweat equity) on the building of their own home and other Habitat NCR homes and activities. | |||
