| Description | Services for people with arthritis Education * physiotherapy * occupational therapy * social work support in locations accessible to clients * individual assessment and service * "Taking Charge Groups" for people with both inflammatory arthritis and osteoarthritis * emotional support groups * clinic for splints, on a weekly basis * public presentations and displays, available on request Arthritis Self-Management Program: A 6-week program delivered by trained volunteers helping people with arthritis to take control, share experiences, and learn more about arthritis, pain management, healthy eating, the benefits of exercise, and strategies to cope with stress and fatigue. Chronic Pain Management Program: A 2 hour session delivered by trained volunteers helping people with arthritis to take control and manage their pain. The main objective of the workshop is to improve the understanding of pain management in arthritis and its treatments, introduce different methods to cope with chronic pain, and encourage people to take an active role in their pain management. | |||
