The city subsidizes the cost of lodging and minimal care for residents of privately run domiciliary hostels within the City of Ottawa. Provides assessment/re-assessment of both financial need, eligibility and personal suitability for subsidized services. Provides permanent housing with some support for daily living.
Meals and minimal supervision are provided * large and small facilities for both men and women * referral by individuals, hospitals, shelters, family members * 27 homes to provide these services
Eligibility
Vulnerable adults with special needs, primarily the frail elderly and psychiatrically disabled who are unable to live independently and who require minimal assistance with daily living.
