| Description | Provides supports and services to adults with an intellectual disability to promote opportunities for personal growth within their community * Services and supports offered: * Community Homes - Six homes that provide the opportunity to enhance skills and be active and included in the community * Home Share - Families and/or individuals interested in being "Home Sharer" are matched with individuals with similar interests * Apartment/ Home Supports - Residential support for adults able to live independently with guidance in finances, home management, and community connecting * Employment and Lifeskills Supports - Social, recreational, and leisure-based activities * Respite - Provides parents and other caregivers with an opportunity to renew themselves while the person with the intellectual disability has the opportunity to be away from the family setting * Foundations - Helps those 18-28 make transition to community, develop a support network, make personal life choices, choose goals, become more independent Association also provides support, resources, advocacy and networking for families of children and adults with an intellectual disability. | |||
